Notes Heading to New York

So I’m AWOL between June 4th-12th, but I promise to queue daily posts!

On that same note- I’m super psyched to be going (as I haven’t been to NY since 2006), I’ve already done most of the classic touristy things (Empire State Building/The Statue of Liberty etc) so was wondering if any folks could suggestion some other awesome places to go and see?

I’d very much appreciate recommendations on some amazing book shops, restaurants, arty spots, best clothes shopping streets, general unique places ?

macsbrains answered: Visit to the Cloisters. It’s out of the way on the upper west side, but it’s great for medieval architecture, art and illustrated manuscripts

ariechu answered: Tasti-D-lite is a sort of ice cream shop, only everything is low cal & wonderful. There’s one in Times Square & another near Central Park =]
