Shapes of Conscious
With this sketchbook, I’ve been challenging my creativity by starting first with a simple shape, drawn without the end goal in mind. Once the shape is drawn, I go about filling it with a character that develops a story of its own. The idea here is to get out of my own way, to let the drawing develop itself without forcing it into a desired narrative or purpose.

I worked on this sketchbook off and on for 5 months, and realized I didn’t really like anything in it. -so, I ripped the inner pages out, and replaced them with found paper, then drew all over the book for 14 hours. This is how it turned out. (It reminds me of my “pen-pal” days.)

Nonsensical play. I’ll be creating more windows later.
Would anyone be interested in a “PokeMon From Memory” series of sketchbooks? The goal would be to draw as many as I can before my hand falls off and compile them into a 30 page volume. I’d like to have the descriptions that you guys have been sending in along-side the drawings in the book.
I want to draw at least three every week in-between projects. So keep those descriptions coming! Hopefully I can have the first volume finished before the end of the year.

Wow…
I Am The Friction is a limited edition book by Sing Statistics. One half of the book is composed of short stories inspired by illustrations; the other half illustrations inspired by short stories. The screen printed illustration on recycled paper makes for a beautiful front cover.
