Creative Resume ☆
I recently applied to be a Neophyte for AdCreate Society, our professional org for Advertising majors. We were tasked to come up with a creative resume so I came up with a travel suitcase containing all my information inside (through scroll maps, postcards, and a painting palette). Here’s a look at it!
Fun fact: I did this from 6am-11am of the same day of my interview (since the previous day was our prod 2 presentation). It was the craziest crammed 5 hours of my life, I swear! No regrets though, I had so much fun doing this (and incidentally, it was chosen as one of the top creative resumes! :”>).
Modern Nature Notebooks (by Martha Stewart)
It’s the 21st-century equivalent of a pressed-flower book: Instead of picking and pressing wildflowers, which depletes the local flora and is illegal in some places, take a snapshot with your smartphone. The Poladroid software will give photos a vintage feel. Then print and glue them in a notebook alongside your children’s sketches of nature.
Scanning in pressings of flowers might also create a nice effect :) (I’m from Ireland, were we have an abundance of common wildflowers, so I personally don’t feel too bad about picking them!)
